Privacy Policy

Knockout Apps LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the GridGoal iOS application and the knockout-apps.com website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
We keep it simple: we collect only what's necessary to make GridGoal work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use GridGoal, we collect:
- Your email address and password (used to create and authenticate your account)
- Goal and habit data you enter — projects, pillars, actions, and progress — stored so it syncs across your devices
- Basic usage data needed to operate the app (e.g., timestamps for completed actions)
We do not collect your name, phone number, location, contacts, or any data from other apps on your device.
How We Use Your Information
- To store and sync your goals across your devices
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To send local notifications you've scheduled within the app (these are generated on-device and never sent to our servers)
- To respond to support requests you send us by email
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.
Data Storage
Your account data is stored using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored on servers in the United States. GridGoal also caches your data locally on your device so the app works offline.
In-App Purchases
GridGoal offers optional paid subscriptions (Core and Pro tiers). Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Neither Knockout Apps nor RevenueCat stores your full payment details — all billing is handled by Apple.
Third-Party Services
GridGoal uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication (privacy policy)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (privacy policy)
- Apple App Store — app distribution and payment processing
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at joe@knockout-apps.com with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will process your request within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
GridGoal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at joe@knockout-apps.com.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
